Delmar Drew Arnaud, known professionally as Daz Dillinger or simply Daz, is an American rapper and record producer who has significantly contributed to the West Coast rap and gangsta rap scenes. Born on May 25, 1973, Daz began his illustrious career in the 1990s at Death Row Records, where he learned music production from the legendary Dr. Dre. As one half of the influential rap duo Tha Dogg Pound, alongside Kurupt, Daz has played a crucial role in shaping the sound of West Coast hip-hop.

Daz’s production prowess was first showcased while working on Dr. Dre’s debut solo album, “The Chronic,” in 1992. He then contributed extensively to Snoop Dogg’s debut solo album, “Doggystyle,” in 1993, and further solidified his status as a producer with his work on 2Pac’s “All Eyez on Me” in 1996. After leaving Death Row Records around 2000, Daz shifted his focus to his own releases through his label, D.P.G. Recordz.

A younger cousin of Snoop Dogg, Daz began his career at Death Row Records at the age of 19. He formed Tha Dogg Pound with Kurupt, and the duo appeared on Snoop Dogg’s debut album, “Doggystyle.” Daz was heavily involved in the album’s production, receiving co-production credits on two tracks and contributing to several others. Tha Dogg Pound later released their debut album, “Dogg Food,” which received rave reviews and achieved platinum sales.

As Death Row’s lead producer, Daz contributed to numerous projects, including Nate Dogg’s debut studio album and the “Gridlock’d” soundtrack. After leaving Death Row, he produced for artists such as Kurupt, Soopafly, and B-Legit. Over the years, Daz has released multiple solo albums and has continued to collaborate with Tha Dogg Pound and other artists.
