Hailing from East Oakland, California, Michael Watkins, better known by his stage name Young Gully, is a talented rapper who has made his mark on the hip-hop scene. As a member of the group The Whole Shabang, Young Gully has consistently delivered powerful lyrics and compelling storytelling through his music.

Young Gully began his journey in the rap world with the release of “The Hustla Movement Vol. 1” in 2008 under the Pushing The Beat Productions label. As his career progressed, he collaborated with DJ Fresh and The Whole Shabang on the album “Tonite Show With Young Gully,” which was released in 2009.

In 2010, Young Gully dropped “Definition of Gas” under the Town Thizzness label, showcasing his unique style and lyrical prowess. He continued to release music, including the albums “David” in 2011, a collaboration with DJ Fresh, and “Hustla Movement Four” the same year. His dedication to his craft led to further collaborations with other artists, such as Kurt Kain on “Mirror Minds” in 2012 and Birch Boy Barie on “Rise of the Realest” that same year.

Young Gully’s discography continued to expand with the release of “HM5” in 2013, followed by the thought-provoking “Bermuda Part 1: God” in 2015. He teamed up with Gass-Pipe to create “The Diary of a Bad Seed” in 2016, and later that year, he released “Bermuda Part 3: Human,” further solidifying his reputation as a skilled rapper and lyricist.

Through his music, Young Gully has demonstrated an ability to connect with his audience by sharing stories of struggle, perseverance, and triumph. His distinctive style and dedication to his art have made him a respected figure in the hip-hop community.
