Trap music, characterized by its dark, gritty lyrics and heavy use of 808 drums, has since become one of the most popular and influential styles in contemporary hip-hop.
In recent years, Atlanta has remained at the forefront of hip-hop innovation, with a new generation of artists like Future, Migos, 21 Savage, and Childish Gambino continuing to push the boundaries of the genre.
