Alvin Nathaniel Joiner, better known by his stage name Xzibit (pronounced “exhibit”), is an American rapper, actor, television presenter, and radio personality born on September 18, 1974, in Detroit, Michigan. Xzibit began his musical career with the release of his debut studio album, “At the Speed of Life,” in 1996. The album was both critically and commercially successful, peaking at number 74 on the Billboard 200 and featuring the hit single “Paparazzi.” This success led Xzibit to secure a recording contract with Loud Records.

Xzibit’s second album, “40 Dayz & 40 Nightz,” was released in 1998 and peaked at number 53 on the Billboard 200. The album’s success caught the attention of West Coast rapper Dr. Dre, who acted as the executive producer for Xzibit’s third album, “Restless,” released in 2000. “Restless” debuted at number 14 on the Billboard 200 and later received platinum certification in the U.S. Xzibit continued to enjoy success with subsequent albums “Man vs. Machine” (2002) and “Weapons of Mass Destruction” (2004), both of which received gold certification.

After the release of “Full Circle” in 2006, Xzibit took a hiatus from music, only returning with his seventh studio album, “Napalm,” in 2012. Since 2013, Xzibit has been part of the hip-hop supergroup Serial Killers. In addition to his music career, Xzibit has gained fame as an actor and television host, playing the role of Shyne Johnson in the television series “Empire” and hosting the reality television series “Pimp My Ride.” He has also starred in films such as “Gridiron Gang” (2006), “The X-Files: I Want to Believe” (2008), “Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans” (2009), and “Sun Dogs” (2017).
